Garrett E. Brierley
Garrett E. Brierley is a seasoned civil litigation attorney with a track record of delivering exceptional legal representation to a diverse range of clients. With strong communication skills, Garrett excels at articulating complex legal concepts clearly to his clients, opposing counsel, judges, and juries.
Before joining Council Baradel, Garrett gained over a decade of experience litigating civil cases in the Maryland District and Circuit Courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. His practice encompasses complex business, commercial, and construction litigation with significant experience in both bench and jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations. He has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide range of legal matters including contract disputes, business torts, mechanic's liens and construction defects, personal injury cases, wage disputes, non-compete and non-solicit agreements, residential and commercial landlord-tenant issues, creditors’ rights, and commercial and consumer collections.
During law school, Garrett served as an Associate Managing Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review, a Board Member for the University of Baltimore Moot Court Board, a Teaching Assistant for first year law students enrolled in Introduction to Lawyering Skills and served as the Honor Chair for the School of Law Honor Board. In recognition of his contributions, Garrett was awarded the Dean’s Citation for Outstanding Service to the School of Law.
A lifelong native of Annapolis, Garrett enjoys spending his time outside of the practice of law with his family, snowboarding, golfing, and playing his guitar.
